IK': Indigenous Breathwork for Radical Self Love (1)

Founded, based, and lead by indigenous elders this is the adaptation that has allowed us to survive centuries of colonization and exploitation. The only way to "breakthrough" is to recognize the limitations of those programs created within the colonized construct.

About the event

IK': Indigenous Breathwork for Radical Self Love

Practicing Liberating Connection

Much of the "new" breath work programs and techniques are taught through and by people who culturally fit within the paradigm of consumerist colonized culture. Why? Simply because those teaching are not indigenous, and have not been trained nor sanctioned by indigenous people. whom many have been taken from. Therefore the breakthrough are limited to work within this matrix. Much of what I see is that the lie that everything should be easy and peoples need to be "good" is something that is "regulated" with breath as a coping mechanism. Yet still the need to perform, and be good enough, and successful (even at the workshop itself) and quick measurable ‘transformative results” is still a program that needs to be met.

To enter into an indigenous space, is an immediate step into a cultural way of being that at ITS CORE is DIFFERENT, one of the most prevalent notions is that these spaces ARE NOT HUMAN CENTRIC. This is the only immediacy these spaces fulfill because once you enter all the rules, norms, and measures of success are different because they do no feed the program that many are trying to escape.

Ik’ comes to us at a time when the world is in a crisis, a time of war and dismantling of systems. This is a practice that has had to evolve to deal with the constant speed and consumption that the western world demands from its creation. There was a time when the practice was more simple but the added layer of 200 years which includes the decimation of the planet as well as human attention spans being less than a goldfish, demands a new practice.

Developed by One Who Catches Lightning with permission from the Moonwalker elders (who now use this technique as well) we bring this woven imagery of breath, connection, self love (of all beings), soverignty, and liberation (acceptance) to you as a tool for personal use.

These sessions go beyond teaching you breath work techniques, its history and culture but they are woven with ancient rituals and ceremonies of liberation.
