My father taught me this lesson early on in my childhood by taking me to the forest to visit the trees. He would point out how they were shapes, how they gathered, how they grew to stay connected.

In big storms her would always point out the ones that would bend to move with the wind versus those that stood their ground and ended being uprooted.
